Florida Clearwater (Shore Diving Recommendations)

Hi there, I am going to be in the Clearwater this weekend, intersection of S Belcher and Nursery road. Unfortunately the weather appears to be a wash out with respect to any boat charters in the Gulf. Wondering if anybody knows of a couple good sheltered shore dive spots either on the east coast (gulf) or west (tampa bay).

I doubt very much there is any shore diving in the Clearwater area not least for the fact that it's a bit of a misnomer in that the water is definitely not clear! Wade in to your knees and you lose sight of your feet

On the other hand, you are being a bit presumptive on the weather as there are no major storms out in the Gulf that I can see and if you are just looking at the expected "thunderstorms" on any longer term weather forecast site then that is standard for this time of year and will usually apply to around 3-4 in the afternoon by which time you are back in dock anyway
