Floods - insurance outside the US help please

I posted this in the Nikon section but I am still looking for help.
Advice please for camera and flood insurance. I live out of the USA so DAN will not cover me. I seem to have stumped the insurance vendors on Curacao. They seem way to expensive compared to past US coverage and I have never had a flood.
