Do you mean HORIZONTAL?

If you're going upside down from a VERTICAL position you've got some really major issues.
 
From horizontal. As my feet approach horizontal, I can feel my the squeeze in my legs lessen and I need to adjust my attitude.
 
I made some nylon straps to go around my calf with male-female clips. Helped a lot and was cheaper than gaiters. Ankle weights are pricy but can be great. My dry suit doesn't have hard boots or soles. Even with my straps I found I needed more weight to stay comfortably vertical at safety stops. I find that the 3 pound weights work well without causing too much stress.
