Most of the weight is positioned on my sides.
Hey Tina, that is another thing, I moved the weights on my belt somewhat back a little more behind me not on my sides. Just think about weighting yourself more in the back and lower to compensate for your feet. It will help and me personally I see no problem using ankle weights if you need to to get more comfortable so you can do your skills, etc and as you work on finding out how to position your weights so that you no longer need them. I used mine for a couple of months until I got things worked out for me. I can pretty much guarnatee that you are using an aluminum tank as that is common. They tend to be more buoyant when lower on air and that can affect your buoyancy as well. The steel tanks let me drop some weight from my belt and it in effect moved it to my back as it was the tank itself and that also helped. I have also just ordered a new BC with 2 tank straps where I can put some trim weights in the pockets that can be moved to the lower tank strap and that should help as well.

Well, I moved my weights lower on my hips (alot lower) and it helped. I also moved them more toward the back. Looks like my feet are getting where they belong. I still have some more shifting to do, but it was much better.
Hank49, yes I have the neoprene booties and just clip on fins, Kinda like them, so dont really want to switch, but will if I have too. I appreciate all the help from you guys and gals.....Tina

awesome stuff

that's how you really learn about diving ... trial and error

also, don't forget the saying "go out and dive the problem"

Ankle weights? Pair of Jet Fins should solve that right? I mean, they feel just like bricks! ;)
