That picture looks like this cattle boat is better described as a two decker pontoon boat rather than a Catamaran. I would bet this boat has a center mounted single outboard, or twin outboards mounted on the sponsons.......

And with 5 non life threatening injuries and no endangerment to any limbs, my guess is that the prop was not engaged and in gear at the time of the "contact". It would be interesting to see where the dive ladder is located in relationship to the engine(s) / prop(s).
