Hey, I've got a Delta 4 primary and an Alpha 8 octo and I'm planning on grabbing some Miflex hoses for them next weekend. I checked out their site and couldn't find anything, unfortunately all the paperwork's back home in Montana that came with them, and I can't seem to source the information anywhere else online. Does anyone know what size fittings they take so I can get the Miflex's to match?

You can't change the Delta 4 hose. Not easily anyway. The issue is the swivel where the hose connects to the second stage.

The Alpha 8 I don't know about.

Blast. I was worried that may be an issue, but I read about someone wanting to put miflex's on their delta4 with the swivel still intact, and was advised just to lose the swivel. Was hoping it'd work out, now I'm gonna have to think about it..

Somebody replaced the hose on his Delta4 and posted a how-to here. Try running a search. If I remember right, it was a tech diver and he was going to put the D4 on a 7 foot hose, so he didn't mind losing the swivel.

Same thing I'm hoping to do..7ft Miflex and I don't care about the swivel...If it's easier with or without it makes no difference to me, I just want a longer hose. Thanks for the heads up, I'll see if I can find it!

But you really don't need a swivel with a 7' hose, not if you are wrapping the hose (and you must be or your wouldn't need a seven footer, right?). Besides, I think the cost of the Oceanic seven footer with an Oceanic swivel is about $500. j/k!

Just ditch the swivel and then you can buy a standard hose, or even one of the new Miflex uber-flexible hoses. And then if you need to do a field replacement you can use any other standard hose.

Just be aware that a 7ft miflex hose may not be the best solution. They are so flexible that you may not be able to keep it from flapping around with that kind of length. I thought about doing it but was advised not to by my tech instructor. And with a 7ft hose why would you need the extra flex anyway? And yes there is no need fpor a swivel on a 7ft hose but if you lose the swivel you also need to replace the second stage coupling as it is different for the swivel than for a standard hose. You just can't unscrew the swivel and put a hose on.

Good point, probably best to start with a normal seven footer and see what that does for him. Is that second stage coupling a standard, readily available part
