Fish ID

OK guys and gals that are native to VA and NC. My wife's cousin was telling me about a good eating fish that is caught in the Chesapeak Bay and I have heard people from NC talk about it as well. They call it a "Spot". Well, there ain't no such animal that I can find on line or anywhere else. They say it is like a Bream or Sunfish. What is the real name for this fish?

It's a drum is what it is.
