I just returned a couple of weeks ago from a 2 week trip to Roatan. 24 dives and 1,000 pictures with my C5060 and PT020, first time with this camera, and everything went incredibly well. No problems with either the camera or the housing.
I have to say "thank you" to a lot of folks who have posted information relative to set up's, suggestions, tips, etc. It saved me a lot of learning curve, especially the info at Splashdown Divers on set up for the 5050/5060 camera. Using the basic macro internal flash set up with manual adjustments of exposure as required, the pictures were surprisingly good from the first dive on. I used a 1 Gb card and downloaded after each 2 dives to my laptop. No battery problems withmaking 2 dives and using the flash on every picture.
No housing problems other than an occasional tendency for the zoom to go to telephoto due to the lever not being perfectly adjusted. I found that if I pushed the camera all the way to the right (very slightly in reality) it worked just right. If I wasn't careful I had to sometimes hold the zoom lever to keep it from going telephoto. A small adjustment by Olympus will eliminat the potential for this I'm sure.
I shot SHQ for a week and then downloaded a RAW converter so I could see what a difference that would make. I reccomend shooting RAW, it's great! If I can figure out how, I'll post some pics and see what suggestions you guys might have for my next trip.
Anyway, thanks for all the help!
