good decision: jan feb on a LOB in Egypt is NOT a great idea. Best period is april till november
 
January till March will be colder both in and out of the water but not very cold. You can have some rough weather too but nothing that may cause a dive to be canceled.

There are 2 advantages in my opinion tough.
1. You can have a better price.
2. As some boats are not working in those months, the dive sites where you may have several boats at the same time in the summer will be mostly empty so no diver crowd.
 
Only one day of diving. And it was in November.

But you have to be aware that the Egyptian liveboard have a tough time to go north when there are heavy seas. So the program in winter months can ve seriously changed in function of weather conditions. This is why, traditionally, the season is interupted during JAn/Feb in order to refurbish most boats.
