I don’t know if you did that but, just in case, because you mentioned the harness, one thing that is important particularly with a set of doubles is to adjust the crotch strap length and make sure that you secured the waist correctly.
This puts the doubles set in the right position and will ensure that you can reach the valves later when you do shutdown drills.
If you find that your set gets in the wrong position and moves up during the dive, that may be (part of) the reason.
Thought I’d mention this, but this is something usually you can get away with on single cylinder.
