First time in a Florida spring

Economy being a relative term, mind you! Beyond training and equipment expense, it's $0-$20 for entry...as opposed to a $150+ boat ride. The local shop is dirt cheap for oxygen fills, and a drive to Marianna or Ponce De Leon is no big deal. Compared to the cost of recreational diving where I'm from in Arizona, cave training will eventually pay for itself.

Gear is an entirely different story, though. I'm still in need of at least one more stage reg, a primary light, computer(s), plus the typical odds and ends. When I go SM I'm sure the expense will double, but I'm a gear fanatic anyway so the price is easy to rationalize...at least until I start looking at scooters and rebreathers :shocked2:


Hopefully Morrison will clear up soon - looked about 6" of viz when I went up there yesterday. I'm trying to get out to more places than just Vortex, the one eel in there is getting sick of looking at me.
