I've never thought of this but your long line is probably on your right side would that give that tank a slightly different buoyancy characteristic?
It would be very unlikely to cause that amount of tail-up. Rubber hoses tend to be very close to neutral in the water as well. A too-short hose might pull a first stage and thus affect trim, though.
