So, I got a S90 w factory housing for my Similans liveaboard trip. This is my first UW camera and first UW shots. These were taking using shutter priorty, auto iso, forced flash on and macro mode on/off depending on the situation. I shot in raw, but have done no post processing other than squishing it down to medium jpegs.

First macro shot... of a wart slug

Leopard shark at 32meters on 31% nitrox.

Pointy

I got a profile shot of the moray's mouth wide open and the cleaner shrimp in there, but the flash didn't go off and i gotz no color.

Sea glob of some sort

Congratulations for your first pics !!
WHich housing and flashes did you used ??

Canon WP-DC35 housing and just the internal flash.

Thanks for posting up the shots.

Was the diffuser on for all of the shots? Were all shot at 28mm?

By coincidence, my sister in law has an S90, and came to visit this past Friday. I've been enjoying doing some hands-on surface shots, checking out the modes, etc., since the S90 is a main contender at this point for my new under/over water camera.

Nice shots !

you're making me nostalgic, I was in Ko Lanta a month ago and everything looks so familiar. Even the moray and the shrimp look like the pair I ran into.

Had the diffuser on the entire time and also shot at the widest as well. I didn't try to mess around with it too much. New camera and had other new gear as well, so tried to keep things simple. When the manta's came, I didn't bother w the camera, just enjoyed the view. The first day I shot in Auto, which was annoying.

Did my DMT in Lanta last summer. Awesome place, different diving though. I'd say other than hin daeng/muang, the similans diving is more challenging. Hoping to do a south andaman trip in songkran.
