We got out a little late one morning and the tide started out while we were in 20 ft. MAN that got my attention. It was like someone flipped a switch: vis went to nothing and the current was something else.


Same thing happend to SeaYoda and Paul_Wall on the start of our second dive.

We were in the water waist deep and the tide shifted and all the sudden "brown water" came in around us in under 30 seconds. It was weird because 30 seconds before the water was crystal clear and you could easily see your fins.



As for getting gear to the water on that long walk in the soft sand from the parking area, I think that a DR Power-Wagon is the solution!!!
 
They had a John Deer Gator out there this past weekend renting out umbrellas. It seemed to work damned nicely :D

I bet for $10 bucks the 'kid' they had putting up the umbrellas would have made a parking-lot-run for extra tanks!
