Here are a few of the pics from my first attempt at UW photography. None of them really rise to the level I like for my own shots, but at least I can see what to change on future attempts. Please feel free to identify any of the fish here for me. The Angel and the ray are the only ones I know.

Please excuse the horrid pic of the turtle. It's the only one I got and it was out of focus. But I was so damn happy to see a green I put it in anyway.

PS- Somebody PLEASE help me here. I cant figure out how to put the attached photos INTO the body of the message as stand alone pics.

PSS- If you open them and they look bad, I'm sorry. I had to cut WAY DOWN on the pixel density to meet the requirements for uploading, then noticed I cut more than needed.

a few notes here..

the 2 'long' fish laying on the bottom didnt really seem to like me being there. They actet like they were barking at be at tried to get in close.

The shot of the angel looks like a night photo, it isn't. That was from my roll of 100 speed film. Gives it an interesting 'dark' look, but it wasnt what I was going for. I also had to crop that one down because something left a shadow across the back half of the fish.

The 2 "long" fish are lizard fishes. The fish behind the diver is the feared Titan Triggerfish, the meanest fish in the water. The blue fish facing the sand is a parrotfish (not sure which one though). Dunno the rest...

Nice catch on the ray, he would have been easy to miss!

Good going for the first time out :D

to post your pics in your thread they have to be posted on the web i.e. Scubaboard gallery.

There is a shortcut button in the gallery and when you click that it copies a link to your clipboard that you can paste into the body of your thread/post

Thanks for the fish IDs. I've heard of trigger fish before. Really bad news IIRC.

And thanks 'leesa' for the linking tips!

Those are pretty good for your first time out fire_diver :D :).
Everything's in focus, lots of variety in your subject matter, definetly enjoyable.

Keep at it, i'd love to see more of your stuff :).

well done for the first dive.

Turtles are cool. When I started shooting ( long ago ) I was so "turtle challenged" that I took a life like toy turtle on a dive and shot that. the funny thing was many divers thought the image was real
