Headed to Bonaire next week with Herman's family, Gypsyjim's family, Dogenia and his soon to be bride as well as others.

I am taking a friend that is in his early 60's for his first dive trip and his first open water dives not in the quarry.

Having the check out dive on Bari Reef for your first dive after certification is top shelf.

Life is good !

That's the spot to do it!!....I took my daughter there after her certification dives at the quarry in Pelham, AL.....Her first ocean dives were on Bari as well....and her 3rd dive on her dive career was at 1 in the morning off Bari diving with Charlie the 7 foot Tarpon.....Say HI to Charlie for me :)

Then I took her to the Hilma Hooker in the morning.....She has been hooked since...in fact we just left the Sand Dollar on June 28th......Been going there for 4 years now.

We've been diving Bari for the past 2 weeks, and I have to say that it's gotten simply better with each dive. As we've learned the topography, we've been finding more and more creatures and enjoying more and more of the fish behaviors.

If you have time, I'd really recommend taking the Naturalist course with Jerry Ligon at BDA. He's extremely knowledgeable and it was well worth our time for what he taught us about marine life, habits, and behaviors. He also showed us where the frog fish were hiding! ;)

Have a wonderful trip to Bonaire, and enjoy all the sites, not just Bari.

Have a fabulous time!

If you get in at buddy's you can do a drift dive and get out at Bari Reef, that was a fun dive.

Don't forget to do windsock, that was another site I really enjoyed.
We also did one in town, not sure what it's really called but we called it the 'yellow submarine' because there is a yellow sub on the railing.

personally I would not do angel beach again, it was super rough and we got tossed about.

Safe Diving!

Sound like a plan Jep, I have a group of 18 this year, we are at Den Laman week 1 and several of us are staying for week 2 at Buddy. I will be at GRI both Monday nights for the BBQ if all goes a planned.
