You should research certification limits through the agency you'd like to be trained through, and there are plenty. NACD, NSS-CDS, GUE, NAUI, TDI, IANTD...any I forgot? I'm sure there are. The limits are often similar but sometimes different.

You forgot one. It was only a matter of time before someone figured out a way to Put Another Dollar In.

Jim Wyatt gave me a great piece of advice before I dove Ginnie the first time. He said, "Make sure all the gas is out of your wing and suit, or the Devil will spit you in the river!" Jim was right!

Wish he had mentioned that to me before I had to pull line coming out the ear. My, er, less than graceful exit was my ticket back for another day of classes.

I believe you are referring to a small group of highly experienced cave instructors including Jim Wyatt and Dan Patterson who created the PADI Distinctive Specialty in cave diving and submitted it to PADI for their approval.

Are those the people to whom you are referring?

I thought you might like some real names so you know whom to attack directly.

Wasn't meant as an attack. My cave certification is through PADI.

In reading the course materials from the various certification agencies, its clear that many of the same people have had their hand in developing the courses for several agencies.

Wow, a little uptight sweet pea? damn :shakehead:

I think you really took this one out of context.

Sorry. I was simply reacting to the "Put Another Dollar In" chiché. Let's face it, that trite phrase is usually part of an attack, not a compliment.
