I surely do love digital! In many ways it is easier than I expected but I have to admit there IS a learning curve! Aperatures as I knew them with film don't exactly transfer over to digital but it's not hard to get used to.

This first picture is actually the 4th one I took. As you can tell, I really like macro! I hope to find a hosting site and have them all up soon.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us. I would love to get a camera but I usually just dive quarries and there just isn't much to see but now I can live vicariously through you.

Nice work!

I love the simplicity of those shots-very good composition.

What camera did you use?

As you might remember, Dee, I just forked out an extra $600.00 dollars for another strobe and dual strobe adaptor.

AND NOW YOU MAKE IT LOOK LIKE I'LL HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those are very nice photos......very nice indeed.

Where do you dive, again? Texas?

I'm really looking forward to diving with my U/W camera once the ice is off the lakes. I am very jealous of your ability and climate.

They were all taken with an Olympus C-4040z camera, PT-010 housing. The ones I posted here were using only the built-in flash. After a couple of days, I started using the Sea & Sea YS-90 DX strobe.

We live near Houston but all the photos were taken last week in Roatan. The local lakes don't encourage photography! Don't be jealous! I'm starting all over again. Just takes some practice.

Dee - your photos are magnificent. The colour rendition and resolution are really great.

Can I check - the Olympus you are using is not a dedicated underwater camera is it? Which casing are you using?

Does anyone know of reliably watertight, multi-purpose housings that might protect lesser digital cameras down to depths of 40 or 50 feet?

Mike

Dee, those are wonderful! Wonderful.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Rick :) :) :)

Wow - fab photos.

Can't wait to try out my new housing for my digital camera (ended up getting a custom job for my Sony rather than buying a new camera). Hopefully the doc will let me dive in Sydney this weekend (minor op he does not want getting wet yet) as I really want to go Weedy Sea Dragon hunting - with my camera that is.....

The Olympus PT-010 Dee is using is cleared for 30m (90'ish feet in old money) so should do the trick for you Mike.

Thank you Jonathan - I must have had bulletin board blindness when I read Dee's message and overlooked the housing details.

However, still interested in adaptable housings. Anyone have any info?
