We rent from the rental company right across the airport (you just walk across the street). I've always gotten tanks from The Plaza, I'm not sure on price, but you can take as many as you want, and it's completely self service.

We stay at you and see bonaire.

May 13th cant' come quick enough.....

For frequent diving, lycra socks worn inside your scuba boots can prevent painful chafed areas. Someone on the forum recommended it; I testify they were right.

This may seem like a small thing but this is truly fantastic advice. Wet suits slide on soooo much easier if you are wearing scuba socks. Whenever my wife and I are on a dive boat people frequently think the socks are silly untill they see how easy it makes getting a wet suit on, then everyone asked where can they buy them. The only caution I would add with socks is short boots can become slippery on your feet when walking on Bonaire's iron shores.

Visit the dive store at Bruce Bowkers Caribe Inn It is sort of tucked in on the property but is one of the most well equipped dive shops on the island. They sell scuba socks there. If you have any problems with any dive equipment they probably have any repair parts you may need.

I also highly recommend doing a evening dive to see the ostracods.
Sept 16-19 should be OK for Ostracods, after which the moon will be out. Sunset is about 6:30, so around 7:15 the display should start. Try to dive at a site with no lights on shore.
