I'm a Fish!
I was strolling through Costco the other day and saw one of those big Camp Chef three burner freestanding stoves complete with a big griddle that covers two burners all for $149.00!. I know from personal experience that these stoves kick butt because I have two of them that are heavily employed during the North Coast Party. In fact they provide such firepower that I have one set up year round on my back deck for things such as crab boils, super hot flash fried fajitas, deep fried fish and chips, and wok fried scallops and veges. My wimpy kitchen stove cannot handle any of these tasks satisfactorily.
So, the whole point of this post is to inform people that if you would like to start your own collection of heavy duty camp gear, or if someone that just happens to be going to the campout always wanted one of those now would be the chance. We could always use more firepower at the events, and I simply don't have room to store one more stove.
How's that for a subtle hint?

Next as long as we're on the subject of firepower.
Every year we run into a little firewood deficit. I bring as much as I can but with my little Toyota Tacoma loaded to the gills and with a boat behind there is only so much I can bring. I am looking for any people that could volunteer a few pieces. If several people bring just a little it will add up to a lot.
That's all, thank you.

I have one of those turkey friers that I have never used for turkey. It is used exclusively for catching crab. Unfortunately, during the dates of the trip, dungeness will be closed. However, as long as I can make it I will bring both firewood and a 35,000 BTU single burner stove along with a boat. I also have a smaller coleman dual fuel stove for cooking smaller things.

I can bring some firewood. Of course a few bottles of wine, hope there aren't any wine snobs that think it is not ok to drink red wine with fish.

As far as wine goes, I only drink red.
As far as I'm concerned white wine is only good enough to cook with.

I realize this outrageous statement may cause a war amongst wine people.

To fill you in on what kind of wine snob I am, "It takes a lot of beer to make great wine." something I heard, that I will stick with.
