That was a very sad read. My heart goes out to family and friends.
Good idea the gag strap.
I am thinking CNS as a limiting factor. It frames with the ejected mouthpiece at 90 ft after a week of diving.
Once upon a time, I helped a buddy to the surface from a hypoxic event in shallow water. He was clenching his mouthpiece. It takes ~10 minutes to "reboot".
Having built a 12-hour capable eCCR and working dives of 8 hours puts the CNS clock in another realm.
I am supplementing heavily and breathing oxygen 30/70 argon for 2 mins before bed to boost hemoglobin.
There are some very interesting results. ;-)
Too bad there isn't more research in this type of biohacking to take some of the randomness out of the equation.
