anyone know how much the F1s weigh compared to jets?
i was told to forget about them if i was going to travel with them

My buddy did not fit well in his Jets. We slapped some neoprene from an old hood into some that were just a smige big. No problems. Of course this only works if the problem is a loose fin. If it is the other way around, I have another buddy that enjoys the OMS Slipstreams.

How much did that change the buoyancy of the fins? Was it noticeable? I wear L Jets, but I find that I'm really having to kick my ass off to keep up with my buddies (and really need to be able to push more water when I'm in doubles) so I bought some XL's and am pretty sure they are going to be loose from side to side....

I asked him about the neoprene changing the buoyancy. He told me that it was not noticeable.

I wear XL jets in turbo soles and wetsuit booties. My shoe size is 12. With turbo soles it was a little tighter than used to but I got used to it quickly and am now very comfortable. I believe I use medium spring straps (12" maybe?)

I have had a pair of XL F1s for about 3 or 4 months now and really like them. The only problem is that they are beginning to rip along the edge from the footpad area where it connects to the part that curves up and around the boot.
