I finally have tech training solidly in my sights now. I got a call from a shop in Michigan and will train with them in the spring. Will start with helitrox and decompression techniques. I'm really excited since I've been trying to get into this for nearly three years now, and it seems as though it will finally be coming together.!!!!:monkeydan

Its with NAUI. (and 15 characters:D )

cool.... jbd....NAUI is great too !!!
October Cebu Philippines NAUI having a tech Instructor workshop.

I'm just a dumb Padi diver, "please no comments!"

I checked Naui's site, I did not know they had such a extended diving cirriculum!

They(NAUI) used to have a technical diving website but I can't find it anymore. They have pretty much all the technical training that I'm aware of. Cave, Wreck Penetration, Trimix, semi closed rebreather, closed circuit rebreather etc etc etc.

Eventually I will take the Technical wreck penetration course. Then I can have fun in the Great Lakes:D

Since they re-did the website, the NAUI tec stuff doesn't have its own site anymore.
Look Here.

I took NAUI Technical Nitrox, Deco Procedures, and Helitrox 2 years ago. Awesome classes!! Technical Wreck Penetration is next on my to do list, then Trimix.

In the Great Lakes, the deeper you go, the more well preserved the wrecks are!! :D

Tavi,

I have heard that NAUI is maybe doing away with the Tech EANx and will doing the Helitrox instead. So far I haven't heard anything about it from NAUI, have you heard anything definite?

I do keep hearing the deeper the wrecks the better they are. I guess I need to go check that out:D

Any tips/sugestions on preparing for the classes?

I haven't heard anything about it being dropped.

Tips??
Brush up on the nitrox formulas, Get comfortable diving doubles. My biggest problem was feeling like everything was new and different because I only had a few previous dives in doubles.

Thanks!

I'm picking up the manifold this Wednesday and hopefully will have the doubles set up and ready for use in a few weeks. I plan to dive through the winter to get use to diving doubles.
