For all that are nicely concerned with the wives waiting on our dives, I am planning on packing a beach umbrella. Please keep up with the advice. Thanks.

FYI: Average wind speed on Bonaire Dec to Aug is 17+ MPH, with some days gusting much higher. (I just checked and it's currently blowing 21 MPH right now.)

Google for images of "bonaire beaches" and you'll notice two things:
1) There aren't many sandy beaches at dive sites, and
2) Nobody sitting on the public beaches or dive sites has a portable beach umbrella.

There's usually a group of people around the Atlantis dive site hanging on to their beach umbrellas for dear life. Or they could be kite surfers, who knows? :D
