It looks like the swell models are showing a decline finally for the weekend. 1-2 ft for Redondo for example, after a few weeks of high surf etc. My wife and I will likely be at Redondo early Saturday. Anyone else heading out?

I think someone mentioned some red tide this past week. No? Has that cleared?

Hoping to get in a dive on Sunday before heading down to the LB scuba show. We stopped by Vet's last Saturday, but it was quite gnarly. Hoping the winds and waves have passed for a bit!

Hopefully! It has been nasty for some time unless of course you are also a surfer.

I suspect the viz will still be pretty terrible after the amount of churn that's happened. That said, I might be up for some diving on Saturday anyways... what time were you thinking?

I was hoping to find a dive for Sunday morning in either Redondo or Laguna. If all goes well I will be at the scuba show saturday looking at drysuits......

Let us know the conditions if you do make it out Saturday.

Hopefully it's better for you guys out in Redondo, but today was pretty gnarly here in Malibu. I posted in the dive reports thread if you want to check it out.

Hmmm...starting to wonder if it is worth the trip. I imagine viz will be down. The models pretty much show a decrease for one day only at Redondo and that is for Saturday then back to what we have had the last few weeks. Looks crappy for Malibu all weekend. Well, not totally crappy but not any better at least, lol. We shall see...

Swell watch has 1ft Saturday for Redondo with a long period. Surf report says 2-3 in the early Am and then 1ft by 11am.

It's looking like the viz is still pretty terrible. Dive report from Thursday was 3-5 ft viz down to 90'. It's unlikely to have cleared up by now. I think waiting till later in the week might improve things.

Yeah I hear ya. That sucks! Maybe 200 dives ago I would have gone lol but now I don't love diving quite that much anymore.

Wasn't that report with active five plus ft surf and not at Redondo? It is generally a little clearer at Redondo no? It's about six am and I am deciding wether or not to pack the car and drive....ugh....:)
