Hello
we went to Fiji in August and went diving in different place.
Kadavu was a really good experience. We where on Tiliva Resort, just off the Great Astrolabe reef : great diving, nobody around (just both of us, the dive master and a biologist also divemaster in the water, no other boats at all), lost of fishes and other animals and really nice coral. Really good dive guide, lots of time underwater, a la carte diving (we are experience divers, over 250 dives).
The resort was reopening with a partnership with an NGO : the money they take from tourism is used to help community around : school improvement, dispensary building, doctors and nurse coming.
It's a great place too really meet fijian people and also the people from the resort where really warming and friendly. And north Kadavu is just gorgeous.
Hope it helps.

Excellent. We just got back from Vanua Levu and plan to dive in Kadavu the next time we visit Fiji. I've heard great things about the Great Astrolabe reef, and it sounds like your experience was similar. Thanks for sharing!
