Fiesta American Cozumel, or in-town hotel?

Does anyone know what the nightlife is like at the Fiesta
Americana Dive Resort? My husband isn't sure about
staying so far from town if there isn't much to do at night.
Any hotel suggestions for resorts closer to town? Doesn't
have to be 5 star, but would like someplace nice and clean,
nice pool, comfortable or least somewhat comfortable beds.

Night life at FA consists of a handful of drunk Texans at the pool bar. If you need land-based, nocturnal stimulation, stay closer to town.

My idea of nightlife is moray eels, cardinalfish, and parrotfish sleeping in little mucous sacks.

the Fiesta Americana is a very nice hotel with a very helpful staff. As far as nightlife, not much if you are looking for music and dancing. However you can find a very relaxing setting for dinner and a pleasant few hours listening to the waves.

Another plus for FA is it puts you closer to the best dive sites which means a shorter boat ride. The taxi ride to town is cheap and takes 5-10 min at best.

..but for a 10 minute taxi ride into town at a cost of about $6 or $7 dollars, you can get all the nite life you want.

FA is an excellent place to stay. I love it there and I'm like your husband, in that, I like to see the town as well. We always go into town for dinner in the evenings after we've cleaned up from the day's diving. $12 to 15$ roundtrip will get you into town to party.

One rainy evening after an awesome night dive we actually spent a little time chatting with some drunk texans at the pool bar. They were young, and beautiful, and so squeaky-clean you could eat off of them. Very friendly too.

The S.O. and I were exhausted so we had one drink and then packed it in.

Was that you in the pool?

..because I'm certainly beautiful, and I'm friendly, but I'm not that young and I'm not that squeaky clean.
