I glad you like the pictures, thank you everybody.

Is a Juvenile (maybe hours old) Peacock Flounder, is the youngest one i ever see.

Cheers

I thought it might be a banana fish.

Some great shots there.

I can't say I recognize the critter in frame 11 ( labeled 1089 )

Sharptail Eel?

Sharptail Eel?

Yes!!...wow great pix....not sure what some of those little critters are but awesome shots....you live in the Solomons but you come to the Caribbean to dive???....

Now that explains why there are so many pix of macro creatures not seen by most visitors.

The gift of good buoyancy and excellent honed observational skills. So much for the "Roatan is dead" folks.

NCLSpin : did you get your Frogfish?

I'm working right now in Roatan, i left Solomon Islands 2 months ago after 5 years working around SouthEast Asia/ Pacific Area, i didn't realize i still having in my scubaboard profile Solomons as location.

Really glad you like the pictures, really love the macro life but still not finding the frogfish....hope to see one soon.
But is funny how speaking with another Divemasters working in another divecenters how they call the Toadfishes - Frogfishes and the Scorpionfishes - Stonefishes.

Is true you can't compare with places like Solomons, but is pretty good the diving over here, i was greattly surprise when i did my first dives and still being. The coral is really beautiful, really good formations and a lot of macro life. I've been reading comments about the lack of life, but like all the places, if you dive with somebody who has enough passion to show you what is around, with knowledge about the behavior of this animals, knowing about the tides to jump in the right places in the right moment you will enjoy wherever you go x4 times more.

yes the macro life in Roatan is primo and you have proven that with your pix...thanks again for sharing them....and the toadfish is a toadfish...he is much bigger than a frog fish and a whole lot uglier...there are 3 around Calvin's Crack but the last couple times I have been there I have not seen them...

These names get mixed-up and interchanged at different rocks that dot our Oceans. In the Caribbean, what we refer to as "Box Jellies" are not the same ultra-dangerous creatures that properly bear that name... although what we call Box Jellies in the Caribbean are bad enough!

The one at Calvin's:

Nice one Roatanman, i missed a lot the toadfishes, my last one before i came here was in Similan Islands (Thailand). Somebody told me about a Frogfish next to the Toadfishes in Spooky Channel, i will check the next time.
