I know this thread is a bit older but I thought I'd chime in. I solo dive. FWIW, I dive a Hog rig either with a single tank and slung 30, or double manifolded 72s.

Out of the female divers that I have dove with in the past few years I know for a fact that 50% of them do cave exploration solo, I'm not sure about the other one.

Ahhh to dive solo. Yes im a female and i dive solo . Pretty much underwater is a place i feel safe and where a woman knows, she wont be hit on and there is no chance in hell no matter what country or place you are diving that you cant get raped . Need i say more .:blinking:

I am female and I solo dive. I know other women who do so as well, probably about the same percentage of female solo divers in the whole female diving population that I know as there are male solo divers in the male diving population that I know (I know a LOT more men that dive than women).
