Ticao is an island on the eastern part of the Visayan islands, Philipipnes, near Bohol.

And CarloDel is setting up a diveshop/op in their ISLand, yes their ISLAND near TICAO !

Hey, pao... Yup we're setting up a resort in San Miguel Island, which we are now calling Halea Island. You can view more information on our website but please note that it is still under construction: http://www.haleaisland.com

I was not able to dive the manta bowl when I was there last holy week but I shot some good video during my dive around the island's coral gardens. It was definitely my best coral dive ever! Soft corals all over the place and the current is really strong but manageable and exciting (ala Escarseo / Canyons in Galera). It's one of those dives where something BIG may pop-out from the blue any moment :) Definitely not for beginners. I just posted the video on my website: http://www.divepixel.com.

I'm planning a dive exploration this May to map out more dive sites around the Island. I'll post a trip report right after. And when the resort is in full operation, a DOR is sure welcome!

When do you think the resort will be open? I'd really like to dive there in the near future.

I saw the resort locaiton when I was diving San Mig Island in March - looked like a really nice spot! Hope it works out well, there was some real nice diving around that island, seemed to be a good spot no matter what the conditions were like :)
