Hi, I'm a firefighter with the FDNY. THinking of moving out to CA. Any firefighters who dive on this board? Could use some advice...

Hi Ray,

I'm thinking of moving to CA sometime in the future. Just trying to find out if there are any departments that take firefighters from other cities. Most make you go through the whole academy process again, which I wouldn't mind too much, but would rather not wait the two years to make the list...am also having trouble finding the age cutoff for CA depts. Out here it's 28.
