The Dunderberg is a schooner that was sunk in a collision with the steamer Empire State off of Michigan's Thumb in the 1868. She is one of the most intact schooners of her vintage in the Great Lakes and yes she has an alligator figurehead.

She is in about 150 ft. of water with a deck at about 130 ft. Much of the aft and center masts are still upright :) .

I'm diving with a group off of the Len-Der charter in Milwaukee. We are hoping to get out to the Milwaukee Carferry, and probably the Willie. Hope the weather cooperates, it should be fun!
