Second dose. I start two weeks prior.

My girlfriend and I are going to FIDR the same week with a dive shop out of Port Huron Mi. Feb. 20-27. We cant wait, 6 days and counting packed and ready to go!:shark2: I wouldn't mine doing the canal trip on an off day. I did the the shark dive last time we were there. It was well worth the $100 for the dive. Hope to see you all there.

Excellent. Hope to see you there. Are you flying on DL via Atlanta?
How many in your group?
By the way, if you need any PADI specialties let me know. I'm teaching deep, night and boat during the trip.
Travel safe!

We are flying continental to Huston TX. We went through Atalanta last time, good airport. We are taking the early flight out of DTW at 6 am. arriving at Roatan at 1:30 pm. There are only 6 of going we still have room for 6 more but it is a little late to add people last min. Thank you for the offer for training but everyone is all trained up to AOW, boat, night and nitrox already through SDI/TDI. Looks like the weather is in our favor so far.

Cool - sounds like you might be on Dandy Don's flight! (I don't see a 1:30 CO flight though - there is a 1:07 and a 3:37 PM - I'm guessing you mean the 1:07 PM?). Y'all can get acquainted.. I may be in line at customs the same time as you unless my flight gets changed to an earlier one. (I'm on the later DL flight which arrives right around 1:35 which means I'll be in the back of the line.....).
I haven't looked at RTB weather recently - probably would be a good idea although there's nothing we can do about it if it isnt nice..

I need to decide which hat to wear and change my avatar huh? :D See y'all in Houston Joe.

I just called DL to see if they would change my flight - no go at this point - they want $100 - said I can change it that day for $50! I'd be doing them a favor as there are precious few seats left on my departing flight from home and they could move me to the earlier flight (5:25 AM) which no one wants thus freeing up a more marketable seat.. Oh well, I guess I'm stuck last to arrive!

You're flying out of Columbus OH right? Looks like the first Delta flight is at 6am, or a 7am departure that still connects into RTB at 12:41pm. The 8:15 departure is virtually full, but so is the 6am. The 7am has a lot of open seats, if you can connect in less than an hour ok - but I guess you'd be standby for it?

Airport agents often have a different view than those the phone agents are allowed to quote. My approach might be to show up at 5am and ask: "I am booked on the later flight, but I see that it's nearly full. How would you like to get rid of me now?" Some agents will see that as a way to get you gone and free up a seat that might be needed later as things change fast at airports, fitting the bodies to the seat belts. Some other agents might say "That'd cost you $50" to which I'd say "Nah, I'll just check in for my original flight now and check back later to see if you are looking for volunteers then. Here are my bags." Then leave and go eat breakfast.

You could get stuck with the worst seat on the plane, but the 7am and connecting both seem to have lots of seats. You're FC, right? Looks open there too.

No - a while ago DL agreed to change me to depart from CAK because they changed my return flight to get back to columbus 2 hours later which would get me home very late. So, I pitched a fit and they agreed to change me to travel from CAK (which is where I wanted to go from anyway).
I'm scheduled (with most of the local folks) on the 6:25 AM from CAK. That one is almost full, but lots of seats on the 5:25 AM.
I'm in FC but no FC on the CRJ metal leaving CAK so I get whatever seat, but don't really care on that one so long as I can take 3 bags of 70 pounds... Hopefully get a little snackie on the ATL-RTB flight because it's a long time until dinner after we arrive.

Yeah, I'll beg the gate agent - just hate to get up that early for nothing. I guess I can take a little nap in the Delta Sky Club at ATL.
