Today, August 23rd, Nikon announced the new Coolpix P7100 camera.
According to preliminary reviews, the new Coolpix flagship delivers amazing image quality, stunning High Definition (HD) movies and high speed performance to create an appealing package for both professionals and enthusiasts.
The Coolpix P7100 is the successor of the popular Coolpix P7000 camera, which is expected to continue selling throughout the upcoming Christmas sales season, alongside the P7100 camera.
Fantasea Line, working closely with Nikon to design and offer high standard waterproof housings for their cameras, is already planning a new housing for the P7100 camera, which is expected to be announced in September.
This housing will be desgined to meet the same high standards as featured by the successful FP7000 Housing and will be compatible with the complete FP7000 dedicated accessory line.
- Enhanced responsiveness of the camera - including a shorter shutter lag, ultra fast start-up time, quick navigation through camera menus and functions, shorter RAW recording time and 1.2 fps shooting speed.
- Front dial for easier alteration of exposure values and quicker navigation through menus
- AE lock in the movie mode for perfectly exposed videos
- Large, bright and high res 3” LCD screen, which enables an easy and clear view even when the camera is accommodated inside a housing
- Enhanced VR (vibration reduction) for videos and images taken in low light conditions, such as night dives, wrecks, caves, etc.
- Enhanced AF (auto focus) speed which allows for perfectly focused and sharp videos
