You had some ace crew on your trip! Sha ab Maksour is one of my favourite reefs in Egypt.
We were really lucky with the crew, I have found the crew on the boat can make a huge difference to the overall enjoyment of the trip. Agreed on Shaab Maksour, amazing to dive on a site like this and be the only boat. It would have been nice to have dived this site a few more times, but due to the mix of people on the boat we only got the one dive here.

I had a quick play around with some of the footage of dolphins from the trip:

This was the huge ball of fish (sardines?) at Shaab Sharm. Quality isn't great as it was filmed on a GoPro and light was a bit poor due to depth and number of fish about!

Great vids! I typically don't travel with a snorkel, but I will have to remember to bring one there.

On a Red Sea liveaboard it is always worth keeping a snorkel in your gear box on the dive deck. You never know when something interesting will show up and you might want to jump into the water.
