Another one from our friend Samantha "...24 killer whales have died in captivity at the three SeaWorld resorts since 1985, ranging in age from <1 year to ~30. Not a single captive orca has lived past 30 years old. "That's not even middle-aged for wild orcas," said Dr. Naomi Rose, a marine mammal scientist with the U.S. Humane Society.
Killer whales can live to be between 60- and 80-years-old in the wild.
Summary: Captivity kills and this is a protected species under the MMPA." Please take note.

Really?! I haven't given up - Have you!? It's ideas like this that create the problems in the first place - one person CAN make a difference. I ride my bicycle to work as often as I can, I only use CFLs in my house, we water far less than we used to - as soon as a truly feasible electric car is produced, I will buy it! What's your climate action plan?
