I responded to an add on Craigslist about some tanks for sale. As it turned out all of these where Faber steel tanks, manufactured in 1997, last Hydro was done in 2003. All of them have air in them and where from a dive shop in Oregon. Tanks are clean and do not have any dents, scratches or other marks that would indicate damage. The five tanks consisted of the following;
2, 65 cf, 2400 psi
2, 98 cf, 2400 psi and
1, 112 cf, 2400
and to top it off got a 30 cf, 3000 psi pony, all for $200.
I know they all need Hydro and Vis, but since I work at a shop, I can get these done fairly cheap.
So, do you think I did OK or did I just buy some expensive decorations and weights. Please let me know your thoughts, concerns or worries about these tanks and what I need to look for.
