We just got back from the display, One Cool Ride! Just wish we could build more than has been alloted. We have pretty much stretched our current arsonal's life span during this 15+ year war we've been in, people tend to forget our "no fly zone years".
Now, in a few months, I'll be seeing the B-1's, which I've worked on, there is another
BADD AZZ AIRCRAFT!

here's an interesting fact:

no American serviceman has come under enemy air attack since 1945

61 years and counting, baby

yea, well they sure are shooting down our helicopters this month.

so...are they using it for anything?

cause I know some guys that could use some cover.

maybe ya'll can fly Nancy around, if it's just sitting there.

well, they have plenty of air support in Iraq

it is a tough environment in which to use close air support, but they do their best

Ah,
only partly true, our equipment is starting to fall apart, we need new, and since the funding is going to be cut, the pools, gyms, clubs, are just the first places money is to be cut in order to carry on without the support needed from congress. Many more cuts in the future too, quality of life is always the first thing to go.....
I remember how long it took to bring back spare parts inventory from the 92-00 lack of support, parts were just starting to roll in about 03.....

Yes, that is one hot airplane. I have been watching it sortie out of Elmendorf for the last few days. It was demonstrated up here at the airshow in August. When I studied aerodynamics back in the 1970 and when I worked on airplanes, it was against the laws of physics for that airplane to do what it does.

Well, I guess if you just ignore Viet Nam, thats somewhat true. Oh ya, lets forget the WTC little thing too. Granted, they were OUR aircraft but still an enemy attack.

Oh ya what about Topgun?:D

We control the sky, hands down.

well ... no American servicemen in VietNam came under Vietnamese air attack. the US owned the air, although, at first, i grant you that the fight was close. the fight was all in the air; no American troops were bombed or straffed by Vietnamese aircraft

as to the WTC, that was a terrorist attack and not directed at American servicemen

you need to read my statement literally. it was carefully drafted ;)
