F1 care

I just bought a pair of F1 Yellow Tips and was wondering if there is anything I need to be aware of as far as keeping the fins themselves in good condition? An example of what I am referring to is, I bought a pair of ScubaPro Jet fins off of Craigslist and the second time I wore them they split in the foot pocket. I missed that the rubber was weather checked and in bad condition and I would like to prevent that from happening to my new F1's.

I just rinse mine, hang to dry and them put away. They're pretty darned rugged.

This is what I do:
- Don
-Use
-rinse (if in salt water)
-Dry
-Repeat
No real special care required. As fisheater mentioned they're Pretty tough

Rinse. Store them out of the sun and away from motor vehicle exhaust.

I figured that pretty much it...the guy I bought the Jets from must have treated them like crap. I have two pair of US Diver jets from 1974 that are in beautiful shape. They just don't fit me anymore....:depressed:

My F-1 's are 5 years old. Use, rinse, dry, store out of the sun.

I spary some silicone on then to keep the rubber from dry rotting and the springs from rusting.
