California Diver:
theres 2 engines on the wreck

Appreciate the information!

Anybody performed any research regarding a/c losses i the area? I would think this wreck is reasonably well known.

This wreck is well known, just not dived often, since it falls in the catogory of a tech dive........Tyler is trying to look like bad ***** scuba dewd, don't worry about him, his harmless.

actually the story of how it came to rest there is interesting, the official report states the plane got hit by another plane landing on an aircraft carrier, however you can tell by looking at the wreck this is not the case. i also have a newspaper article from the same date that states a whole different story of what happened that seems a lot more plausible, when nate tried to dig deeper he was told to stop by uncle sam.

i seriously found a golf ball by it last time

The golf course?! Did you find my ball? I hit a couple vicious slices last time...

Hrmm - there is one in my drysuit pocket -- if you can identify it and personally come to pick it up -- it's yours! :14:

The intakes in the picture don't look like an F4. They do remind me
of an A4, but it's hard to tell -- you're TOO close. Next time you go,
back off and take some pictures that show the general shape of
things -- a whole wing, the whole nose, etc. There won't be any
detail but that's OK -- the general shape will do it.

What kind of plane does the official report say it is?

so far weve just been looking at phantoms, the nose is no longer there, this thing looks like a bomb went off in it
