Just stumbled across this article,

3 fish previously classed as in different families: One has a tail 10x the length of the body and feeds on zooplankton, the second has no oesophagus or stomach and a very enlarged liver, the third has a very englarged jaw and modified gill arch to allow it to eat large prey.

Turns out all three are different life stages of the same species: no. 1 is the juvenile, No 2. is the adult male, No. 3 is the adult female.

Wierd.
