Just in case anyone noticed, I should have said that the body only metabolizes about 25%-35% of the O2 inhaled.
bedazzle410:The increase amount of O2 helps the bodie absorb O2 in that you do nto get as tired while breathing compressed air so it would seem that the larger percentage of O2 should help in other ares of a persons metabolism.
No, your body still only metabolizes the same amount of O2. The reduced N2 load *may* make you less tired due to less insult to your system while off-gassing. And that is a pretty common conjecture but not a proven fact.
