Heading to Clearwater Florida with my girlfriend, the second weekend in October, for a one day 2 tank dive in the gulf on some shallow art. reefs and wrecks. I am used to diving in a North Carolina quarry in a 5mm full suit, 5/3 hooded vest, 5mm boots and gloves; i don't really get too chilled then. My girlfriend tends to be a little colder than myself. I was hoping to get some input from local divers of the Clearwater (and surrounding) areas as to what amount of exposure protection would be applicable. I was anticipating using a 3mm full suit w/o hood or gloves. My girlfriend is planning on using 3mm gloves with her 3mm full suit, since she is a little more prone to the cold versus myself.

-thanks for any input!
