Greeting all,

We had a GREAT 4th of July weekend aboard EXPLORER. Good diving, great people, and the Weather Gods cooperated. Not sure what we're doing this weekend (something, for sure), but wanted to post the next weekend plans here so anyone interested can sign up. Trips leave Snug Harbor RI, with sign-in, waiver paperwork, last minute air-fills and goodies at Pier Dive in Narragansett about 6:30AM or so.

Saturday July 15th: 8:00AM Departure for the U-853 and either stay there for one or two dives or do second dive on the Black Point or ?? based on passengers desires.

Saturday evening: a night dive on the Sampson (inside the Harbor of Refuge). Leave about 8:00PM, 15 minute ride to the wreck, nice night dive, and then a relaxing time to sit under the oil lamps and relax a little before running back. For those diving during the day, we'll figure out a dinner and tank refill plan for you.

Sunday July 16th: The GRECIAN (my favorite wreck), with excellent artifact hunting in about 90 feet of water. This is out past Block Island so we may stay there for one dive or run in to the U-Boat for a second dive. The Grecian is a SUPERB wreck, don't miss it.

Call/email me for technical details, call Pier Dive for bookings (makes it easy for us to only have one sign-up roster). There will be air/nitrox fills available overnight for anyone wanting to do both days. Limited bunks are available for two-day divers.

Best to all, and we really appreciate the kind comments by those who dive with us Monday and Tuesday. Hope to see you all again!

Taking names for a BASS trip to be run in August, so let me know if you are interested in that too. Trimix a requirement for that wreck.

Respectfully,

Dave the Grecian is one of my all time favorites too. You can't beat the visibility
and scenery!

So..... come join us!
I will probably see you out there some time. My Boat is named "Adventurer" it is a 28' Nauset Downeaster out of Jamestown. If you see us out there stop by and say hi! What channel do you monitor?

Hmmmm.....

If we see you out there we'll invite you aboard for a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee, a home-made snack, access to a flushing head, a hot shower, a warm bunk, and a cold drink along with a nautical book from our library to be read while sitting in a deck chair in either the sun or the shade depending on what you prefer......... ;-)

16 for calling, 13 for talking!

Yup, we have those too, well, the Coffee may have been made a few hours before hand. I should have mentioned before that I am a private operator, not a charter operator so I am not trying to compete with you. My intention was to say hello as a fellow diver and boatowner. Good luck in your venture. P.S. Maybe you have the Rhode Island Adventure Diving Books in the Librarary?

Everything I write here ought to be taken as what I'd yell across with a smile and a wave to a buddy I see across the water. I've never met a diver I didn't find to be a friend. And yes, we have the books!

Looks like the Grecian both days this weekend and we still have space if anyone wants to dive.

Dave

dave, do you have a website? also, do you have a price list etc?

Might be interested in the 16th trip. Checking with Larry and Curly (DBG40 and CTMAX)

Funny you ask about website: I just got an email from the Pier Dive webmaster (well... webmistress actually):

Take a look and see what you think! I'll start a new thread with the website as well so folks can find it with ease.

Hope to see a few of you this weekend. Looks like weater will be good, and I'm *really* interested in seeing the Grecian. Might do it both days, can always hit the U-Boat on the way in if people want.
