DIR-Atlanta:
That's an AG thing, from the DIR OW class that he developed when he was at Fifth-D. Rule #6 means "always look good".

I'm surprised it's not higher on the list

Thanks for the explanation.

jeckyll:
BTW, I'm still trying to find Rule 6 somewhere  After all, it seems often referenced, yet poorly documented.

The DIR weapon of choice is the 18W HID underwater light saber. :D
Of course! Does that mean that my 21-watt gives me an unfair advantage?

Robert Phillips:
I've got the same thing going on.
Have you gotten a new first stage yet? I can't dive with you until you have. Rule #6, you know!:D
Yeah, I've still got that old 1st stage from my Conshelf SE that I've had for 20 years. I've got steps in order that I'm taking to get my doubles put together and upgrade my regs.

I've got 2 tanks that I'm planning to use for doubles with 300 bar DIN valves on them now. The tanks that I'm actually diving now have yoke valves and that first stage you mention is using a yoke. When I get bands and a manifold for the tanks I'm going to double up, I'll have those extra DIN valves to use on my existing tanks. At that point, I need to get two sets of regs for the doubles and replace that old first stage to keep from having to assemble and disassemble my regs from going from singles to doubles.

Of course, I probably won't replace that 20 year old hood I'm still wearing or the 2mm gloves with the holes in them until after these steps are completed. So, I'll still be in violation of rule #6. :D

That's the plan!

I'm thinking the 80's Yuppie pony tail is the more egregious rule #6 violation!:rofl3:

That's okay, Christian, you and your pony tail and your hood and gloves can dive with me and my blue and white dry suit and bright orange wing. We'll be companionable Rule 6 violations :)

I'm just psychic SparticleBrane

It couldn't just be that they reset the server time, could it

LOL

Did they now? Does that mean that our posts won't be 15 minutes ahead of when we actually posted them!?
edit: yay it works :D
