I will be in Cozumel for a week of diving next month. I am curious about how much (or how little) exercise is a problem for DCS.

My normal exercise routine is 5 or 6 days per week with a moderate cardio workout (alternate bike and swim days). I have my heart rate up for about 20 min/day.

Can I continue that exercise routine while diving two tanks per day for 4 or 5 days (with one day off in the middle of the wek)?

What is the best time to work out? Before diving for the day. After the diving is over for the day?

If I have to choose one day to work out, which is best. First day down; on my day off in the midle of the week; or on the last day?

My dives will be non-deco on air.

Thanks,

Thanks Doc,

Very helpful. I hate to miss a whole week of workouts, but better to be safe than sorry. Maybe I will take the week to do "less vigorous" exercise.
