I've been lurking on the boards for a few months now, and I decided it's time to say hello. I'm a new PADI OWD - just got certified last July. Since then I've been diving in Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel. I leave for Roatan on Friday. Your discussions, pictures, and trip reports have helped me get ready for this trip. Thanks for making the ScubaBoard a great online resource not just for experienced divers, but for newbies too!

We stayed at the Bacrcelo Maya for the first week, and we dove with the dive shop there. It's Dressel Divers, and they've got a site out by Xcaret called "Las Tortugas" which is teeming with turtles. Ask for Octavio, he's the best divemaster there.
