Seems to me the above statements say it all. In the original thread they didn't exsist.

I guess that means that you've never seen me post because the only statement that has been added recently was "One person CAN make a difference." The other two quotes have been in my signature since I became a member on this board two months ago. There are many people on this board who have seen me post in the past and those last two quotes have always been there. Seems like you're looking for the smallest little thing to have against me but it holds no ground, none at all.

If you can't hurt someone's credibility any other way, attack their signature? Ok....

Maybe I'm crazy but I looked at the ORIGINAL thread called "What should Ido" And I don't see it there. You linked it to this thread and I read all the post before I said anything. I'm not saying your a bad guy, I don't know you. All I'm saying is your young and have alot to learn. What you say and do in any public forum can have an effect on other peoples lives when it a serious matter. You didn't just state your opion you contacted officials and agencies that can have a impact on peoples lifes. If this had taken place in a city or state located on the continantal U.S. and not in the Vergin Islands I'm sure you would have been the cause of great hardship for the owners and the current employees. You may have caused them to close the buisness and placed people out of work. What you did was irresponable and I believe you did it with suspect motives. This is a forum for us to dicuss diving matters and ask questions and advice not a place to start a crusade. At least you had the decentcy to appoligize and yes you have the right to your opion and you can voice that opion in a public forum. This will be the last I have to say about this. My time is far to valuable to waste beating a dead horse. I wish the the best.

Lawman once bubbled...
you can't get insurance for intentional torts.

You certainly can get insurance for slander and libel. I'm not even going to debate this with you because I'm looking at my policy right now.

ND has no control over his age and being young does not necessarily make one's claims untrue. The issue of when his sig line was edited is completely immaterial to the discussion of his allegations.

Thankfully, fgray has expended his allottment of time (the actual value of which is questionble) to be an overt apologist for the commercial operator.

My guess is that the real truth lies somewhere between the extremes of ND being an environmental zealot making malicious, unfounded claims against his former employer and the commercial operator being an evil, deliberately unscrupulous destroyer of the environment. Where the line falls is up to each reader of the differing accounts.

Note to self: Refrain from considering Lawman for legal and diving-related advice...

This should absolutely never happen; and would not have happened if the diver's were correctly in place. The tour is organized and orchestrated for this reason. Our new site has no coral or other enviromental detours.

So what you are saying is that your previous tour did in fact cause damage and you selected a new site that would prevent this.

That said, you substantiate some of the claims made in the original post. To say that Naturediver was completly wrong would by your own actions and admission be incorrect.

And I would'a got away with it too... if it weren't for you pesky kids.

I have a couple of comments on your reply first one is this statement made by you

The scuba tanks are secured in a customized rack; if any had tipped over then it wasn't secured properly by the divers.
wear was your diver master doing his job and checking the equipment ect ect , after every dive part of the dive master job is making sure all equipment is secure and safe for everyone . to blame that on the diver isn't the answer just makes you look even worse .
other than that i am not sure .

ITBZ,

I have a couple of question about some of the statements you made, Possibly you can clear them up.

I will agree with NatureDiver that the current can be strong at times in that area and our units can be pulled towards the coral area

If you agree that the BOBs can be pulled by the currents, is it possible for the BOB to strike the coral? If this is possible why do you allow the BOBs to operate under these conditions? To me this shows you are willing to risk damaging the enviroment.

This never would have happened if all the divers were properly in place.

You blame divers for not being positioned properly, Who's responsibility is it to ensure the divers are position correctly? What supervision do the divers have? If there not positioned correctly and the BOBs strike something what action do you take?

The scuba tanks are secured in a customized rack; if any had tipped over then it wasn't secured properly by the divers.[

Once again who's responsible for ensuring the divers are doing there job? Are the divers supervised by your company? Who trains the diver in what there role and functions is? How often are they evaluated? If you fault the divers do you share any of the blame when your divers don't do there job.

When I was in the Army I was held responsible for the people under me. It was my responsibility to ensure they were trained, Properly motivated and performing up to speed. If not it was also my responsibility to ensure I took corrective action whether it was retraining them, improving moral or bringing charges against them to send them to jail or discharging them.

If your divers work for you then no matter what they do it's your responsibility to ensure they are performing to your standards. pointing fingers just show to me your not taking responsibility or that your not concerned.

Once again, the stuff about my signature is irrelevant anyway but....

Maybe I'm crazy but I looked at the ORIGINAL thread called "What should Ido" And I don't see it there.

I haven't been on this forum for long but I do know that any changes that are made affect every post you have made in the past. If you change your signature or your profile then it is shown that way on every post you have made in the past. I haven't been here long but I do know that. And for the last time, this is completely irrelevant to the subject we were discussing.

Speaking of technicalities....while we're attacking signatures and age..

If anyone wants to message me anymore attacking me about my opinions and posts...please do it with some level of education. Most everybody that has had negative words towards me and my posts have not been able to complete a sentence without misspelling a word or six. Just a request, thanks.

appoligize
