I've just read through this thread and had a good giggle at the suggestions of violence towards other divers underwater.

I don't feel like discussing the merits of those threats here but I am curious to hear if anyone has ever seen divers getting aggressive under water? Or better yet, have you ever been involved?

I'm not one for violence but I have to say that I find it quite amusing to see how testosterone sometimes suggest solutions to problems:D I can only imagine that under water those types of "solutions" will be even funnier.

I have a funny feeling that many of the "I would knife them" crowd are likely much less aggressive in person....Little Internet Syndrome. Others are Serial Killers in the making (do not accept offers of kool aid no matter what). While I have my very strong opinions on certain things, I cannot imagine any of them tempting me to head down a path of aggression underwater. I really just want to dive and let the environment I am in stay as it was before I got there so that I and other divers can continue to enjoy it.

I can imagine it might be alittle like Nascar racing... alittle bumping and shoving while (racing, diving) and the real fights begin after the (race, dive):D

Getting aggressive in the water would be stupid. A friend of mine is a former Marine Recon guy. We use to 'play' a game where a few of us would try to un-mask him or take his reg out or what ever. He always kicked our butts. He was like a shark really. Not saying you would meet someone like that on average but getting stupid in the water is just....stupid. It is a different set of rules down there.

Sorry but I have to laugh at the use of agro in the title. I immediately thought of the marine animals (fish, crabs, seals, etc but not sharks) turning towards the diver and attacking them for being the wrong faction.

I don't get the aggression underwater. It is such a peaceful place and it isn't until I'm getting low on air that the tranquility is disturbed.

You misspelled 'Neckcar'.....

Hey.......

If anyone on here doubts my violent behavior, well, well...............

I'll knife ya!

Cheers!

When we were kids we would reenact Mike Nelson's underwater fight scenes by disabling each other with a quick pull of the mask or plugging a foe's snorkel.
