Okay, so my island isn't totally deserted but at times it looks like it thanks to the economy. The lack of jobs has sent residents here hightailing it for the mainland (you know, the "Big Island" over there). Now there is a minor glut of rooms and apartments to rent... including my spare room. You could have a chance to share my view condo and enjoy the wit and humor of Dr. Bill himself! Now that's worth a small fortune. So if you've ever dreamed of living out on an island where you can dive to your heart's content, PM me fast before someone else jumps on this opportunity of a lifetime.

Oops, where is spell check when you need it? That's Living, not Licing

I was wondering what "Licing" was...hmmmm :confused6:

A housing glut?...where was this excess when I was job hunting on Catalina last April? I stopped pursuing available jobs ops in Avalon when I heard about the housing shortage. I wonder how much of the housing slump is due to the off-season winter slump :cold: versus the country's economic slump:scared:?

You should start a Scubaboard B&B at Dr Bill's place with Dr. Bill himself as dive guide :vintagediver:. Especially now that you have that new dress-up-lets-party wetsuit :chicken:...

Elena... Normally housing is very difficult to find even off-season. I never dreamed I'd jave trouble renting my room out after my housemate got married and moved out. I don't remember seeing so many rental units available since the 70's when this was a really quiet little town during winter... like it is now.

a new wetsuit?????? How was i not informed of the demise of the "barely used" still has a ton of dives on it suit?

Is there an annual ferry pass for residents of the island to commute to work? If so, how much does that cost?

Wow! I would love to live on the island. The commute would kill me but that would be so cool.
